Fisher-Titus updates visitation guidelines

Beginning at 10 a.m. June 13, Fisher-Titus visitation guidelines will include one support person per patient per day at the medical center, according to a news release.

Additional updates include:

• Inpatient visitation: use the pavilion entrance; visiting hours are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and support person will be issued a visitor badge, room specific for the person they are visiting.

• Surgical services: use the Emergency Department entrance the day of surgery.

• Endoscopy: use the pavilion entrance; and support person can wait in the room or lobby with appropriat­e distance.

• Outpatient services: one support person; and enter through Rotunda, Heart & Vascular, or Emergency Department entrances as appropriat­e for the service they are coming for.

In addition, those visiting a Fisher-Titus physician office will be allowed one support person to accompany them, the release said.

All support persons are asked to wear a mask and will be screened for novel coronaviru­s symptoms at the door, including a temperatur­e screen.

No visitors younger than 18 will be permitted.

These updated guidelines do not affect the current visitor restrictio­ns at Carriage House, Transition­al Care Unit and Norwalk Memorial Home, the release said.
