McKenzie Muir

AVON» GIRLS SOCCER JUNIOR» MIDFIELD On the pitch: Scored three goals in the Eagles’ 7-0win over Bay on Sept. 12. Off the pitch: “Mac’s” favorite sports memory is when Alex Morgan took a selfie on her phone after a United States Women’s National Team game. When she’s not playing soccer for Avon or the Cleveland Force, she’s usually hanging with her friends, eating Chipotle or playing guitar.

FIRELANDS» FOOTBALL JUNIOR» QUARTERBAC­K On the field: Finished 8-for-9passing for 118yards and two touchdowns in the Falcons’ 42-0 win over Brookside. Off the field: The Falcons’ junior, who is aptly nicknamed “Kyler Murray,” also plays baseball and basketball. His favorite food is pizza and he spends his free time watching the Indians and Ohio State.

Aidan Fox

NORTH OLMSTED» CROSS COUNTRY SENIOR On the course: Finished fifth overall in the Eagles’ tri-meet against Avon Lake and Westlake with a PR time of 17:54. Off the course: Also plays soccer in the fall. His favorite memory is in 2017when he held his own with the varsity runners at the SWC Preview Meet. He’s yet to make a college decision, but he hopes to go somewhere to study physics and calculus. When he’s not competing, he enjoys watching “Avatar: The Last Airbender” and playing Xbox.

Jenna Peters

VERMILION» VOLLEYBALL SENIOR On the court: Has played in all 24sets this season, averaging 2.8kills per set and 3.4blocks per match. She totaled 10kills and 4blocks in a win over Clyde. Off the court: “Jen” is an avid artist and writer who enjoys history and art. Her favorite sports memory is beating Tiffin Columbian in five sets at the beginning of last year. Favorite food is fruit snacks and her favorite movie is “The Greatest Showman.”

Ashley Krupinski

COLUMBIA» VOLLEYBALL SENIOR» SETTER On the court: In five matches this season, Krupinski has totaled 107 digs and 129assists. She also tallied her 1,500 career assist earlier this season against Black River. Off the court: Krupinski, who doubles as a cheerleade­r for the football team, says her favorite high school sports memory has been starting her senior year 4-0in the conference. Her favorite JO volleyball memory was when her and her Maverick teammates traveled by bus to the national tournament in New Orleans. She’s hoping to attend Ohio State for college.

Cecilia Lliff

AMHERST» SENIOR GOLF On the course: In the Comets’ win over North Ridgeville, Lliff shot a 44, then followed with a 43 at Fox Creek. She is averaging a 44 on the year. Off the course: “My favorite sports memory is getting hit in the head with a golf ball two years ago at the SWC championsh­ips,” says “CeCe.” Her favorite food is buffalo chicken dip and her favorite TV show is “Avatar: The Last Airbender.”

Alec Urbansky

FIRELANDS» BOYS SOCCER SOPHOMORE On the pitch: A sophomore captain, Urbansky leads the Lorain County League in goals (eight) and assists (five). Off the pitch: Alec, who also plays club soccer for Upper 90 FC, is a Liverpool FC and Lionel Messi fan. He enjoys traveling to North Carolina with his family. While he’s yet to make a college decision, he’s hoping to play soccer collegiate­ly while studying a major related to math or science.

Alden Steele

AMHERST» FOOTBALL SENIOR» DB/WR/KR On the field: Steele had two intercepti­ons to go along with 12tackles and a rushing touchdown in a win over BereaMidpa­rk. Steele took one of his intercepti­ons 38 yards for a touchdown. Off the field: It’s only fitting that Steele’s player of the week honor comes the week after he returned an intercepti­on for a touchdown, as his favorite sports memory is his first varsity intercepti­on. A Polo G fan, his favorite subject in school is history.
