Felix Maselli, age 84, passed away at Autumn Aegis Nursing Home on March 10, 2021. He was born on April 5, 1936 in Lorain, Ohio. He attended Boone elementary school, Hawthorne middle school, and graduated from Lorain High School where he was the president of his senior class. After high school, he served in the United States Army from 1954 until he was honorably discharged in 1956, receiving the Good Conduct Medal. After his military service, he attended Kent State University. Following his college years, he lived and worked in Ventura and Los Angeles, California and Las Vegas, Nevada. Upon retirement, he moved back to his hometown, Lorain, to be near his close relatives.

Felix was proud of his Italian heritage; he enjoyed raising heirloom tomatoes, curing olives, and cooking and eating Italian food. He had many interests, including sports and current events, and he read the newspaper daily to keep up to date. He was an avid walker who took long walks throughout his life, rarely missing a day until his final months. He had a wonderful singing voice and performed on many occasions throughout his school years and later at family reunions. His greatest pleasure was participating in family events, and especially spending time with his nephews, who knew him as “Uncle Phil.”

Felix is survived by his brothers, Tane and Harry, and sisters, Rose Maselli-Scott and Sharon Maselli. Felix was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Assunta Maselli, and siblings Katherine Cocco, and John Maselli. Private family services were held under the direction of the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst.
