Joni Marie Stockard

Joni Marie Stockard, age 60, entered into eternal peace Sunday August 22,2021. She was born on June 10, 1961.

A life long Avon resident, she attended Avon High School. She enjoyed baking, cooking and the Cleveland Indians. Joni had a loving and generous heart, especially to her nieces and nephews. She loved celebrating the holidays with big family get togethers. She was the caregiver to many family members.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents George and Ann Mocsny, Anna and Leo Stockard, her loving parents James (“Jim” ) and Mary Lee Stockard, and brother John.

She is survived by sisters Leslee Baron (Pete), Judy Shaw (Mike), Joy Jenkins (Mike) and Janet Stockard, several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Joni was preceded in death by her constant companion dog of 15 years “Star.”

Private interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Avon. Memorial contributions may be made to the Friendship APL, 8303 Murray Ridge Rd. Elyria, OH 44035. The MISENCIK FUNERAL HOME, Avon, is in charge of all arrangements.
