Authorities locate missing North Ridgeville woman

A 70-year-old woman missing since Aug. 24, was found awake and alert Aug. 25, according to a news release from the North Ridgeville Police Department.

The Lorain County Technical Rescue Team, North Ridgeville Fire Department and North Ridgeville police officers conducted a joint search of the area in and around the Cottages of Savannah and located Rebecca

“Becky” Haddad at 1:39 p.m., the release said.

Haddad, who suffers from dementia, was found lying in the woods east of the development.

She was moving and alert, authorities said.

Paramedics transported Haddad to a local hospital for medical care, the release said.
