Senior Center to host open house

The North Ridgeville Office for Older Adults will celebrate the re-opening of the Senior Center with an open house from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Sept. 7, at 7327 Avon Belden Road in North Ridgeville, according to a news release.

“We’re beyond thrilled to be open again and getting back to hosting our regular programs and activities, along with some new offerings,” said Emily Lockshine, director of the Senior Center, who assumed the position July 26.

“Over the past few weeks, I’ve been meeting some of our participants and look forward to getting to know everyone.”

The event will feature light refreshments, music, a slide show highlighting the origins and history of the center and past events, a raffle and information about current programs and activities, according to the release.

O’Neill Healthcare is providing light refreshments, the release said.

The event is open to the public.
