Crushers fall behind, lose to Windy City

The host Crushers fell into a 3-0 hole after three innings then rallied to tie the game at 3 before losing, 7-4, to Windy City on Sept. 3.

Nick Rotola and Javier Betancourt each hit home runs for Lake Erie, which fell to 39-48. Rotola was 3 for 4 on the night with two RBI and a run scored.

Karl Ellison also had a big night for the Crushers, as he was 3 for 4 with a double and an RBI. Shawn Dunston stole his 29th base of the season.

Dillon Larsen got the start for Lake Erie and struggled with his command. He walked seven in 4 1/3 innings, and allowed three hits and three earned runs. Larsen also struck out six.

The team continue their series at Mercy Health Stadium on Sept. 4. First pitch is 6:05 p.m.
