2021 girls soccer watch list

Players to watch

(in alphabetic­al order) MF Victoria Adair, Sr., Oberlin: The decorated senior finished last season first team LC8, first team Lorain County and first team D-III.

MF Bella Antonio, Jr., North Ridgeville: North Ridgeville finished with an 11-4 record and finished second team SWC and second team D1 CLE.

MF Ella Grode, So., Avon Lake: Grode returns to the Shoregals as they try to build upon a solid season last year. Already a player of the week fort the Morning Journal, Grode is picking right back up where she left off. The Shoregals lost 2020 player of the year Tori Copfer and will need others to step up in her place.

F Grace Hagerman Jr., Keystone: Finished first team Lorain county last season and second team LC8.

D Mara Jaracz, Sr., Avon:

Jaracz is the senior leader for Avon and coach Csiszar this season and played a big role in the Eagles win over

Avon Lake recently.

MF Elena Kobak, Sr., North Olmsted: Kobak finished honorable mention D-1 CLE and first team Lorain County for North Olmsted.

D Mackenzie Muir, Sr., Avon: The senior Eagle defender finished last season

with 18goals, five assists and was named first team SWC and second team D-1 Ohio.

GK Andrea Parker, Sr., Avon Lake: Recorded 63 saves last season and helped lead the Shoregals to a 10-2-5 record. Parker and Avon Lake are off to a fast start again this season, starting 4-1-0.

F Livia Penton, So., Vermilion: Helped lead Vermilion to a 23-14 record and finished second team North Central, second team SBC and first team Lorain County.

MF Juliet Seng, Sr., Amherst: The junior last season finished first team SWC and first team D-1CLE.

F Bella Simmons, Jr., Firelands: Helped lead the Firelands to a 21-9 record last season. Finished first team LC8and first team D-III CLE.

F Mia Sutorius, So., Elyria Catholic: The talented sophomore finished her freshman season with 20 goals and six assists in helping lead Elyria Catholic on offense.

GK Ariana Vakos, So., Avon:

Vakos returns as one of the top goalkeeper­s in the area and she is only a sophomore. Helped lead Avon to a 13-4-4 record last season and shut out Avon Lake early in this season. MF Emily Vogel, Sr., Elyria Catholic: Vogel finished off last season with 14goals and 14assists and will look to lead Elyria Catholic again along with Sutorius.
