Sam DeTillio AVON>>FOOTBALL JUNIOR>>QUARTERBAC­K

On the field: Against Glenville, passed for 187 yards and four touchdowns while completing 11of 14passes. Also ran for one touchdown in a 55-18 win.

Off the field: Hobbies include traveling, skiing, mountain biking and cooking. He has a unique talent of juggling. His favorite school subject is science. He’s involved in Avon Future Scholars of Medicine Club.

Tim Conwell

AVON>>FOOTBALL SENIOR>>WIDE RECEIVER/CORNERBACK

On the field: Had eight catches for 98 yards and three touchdowns.

Off the field: Conwell’s favorite sport is football, his favorite music is smooth jazz, his favorite team is the Pittsburgh Steelers and his favorite food is French toast.

AVON LAKE>>VOLLEYBALL SENIOR>>MIDDLE BLOCKER

On the court: Received two MaxPreps player of the match nods, recording a total of 18 kills with a .539 kill percentage, 12 total blocks and six digs.

Off the court: Her favorite volleyball memory is locker room dance parties before games and beating Amherst in straight sets during her junior year. Her favorite food is a Panini’s chicken Caesar wrap, her favorite School subject is AP psychology.

Jenna Peters VERMILION>>VOLLEYBALL SENIOR>>MIDDLE HITTER

On the court: Against Bellevue, had 19 kills, three aces, 13 digs and four blocks. Off the court: Peter’s favorite artist is Kanye West, her favorite movie is “Step Brothers,” her favorite show is “Grey’s Anatomy” and she plans to attend the Ohio State University.

Tessa Knapp BAY>>SOCCER FRESHMAN>>FORWARD

On the field: In a week when Bay went 1-0-2, Knapp had four assists and four goals for the Rockets

Off the field: Knapp has a passion for playing, training and watching soccer. The sport has given her so many great moments and memories over the past years that she has been able to share with friends and teammates. She now has the opportunit­y to play with her older sister (for the first time ever) who is a senior on the team.

Taylor Byall

ROCKY RIVER>>SOCCER SENIOR>>LEFT OUTSIDE MIDFIELD

On the field: Rocky River went 3-0 against two D-I opponents and a D-II opponent. Byall scored six goals and two assists and scored two goals in all three games.

Off the field: Byall’s nickname is “TB.” She is looking to attend Ohio State University or Penn State University to study biology. Her favorite sports memory is going to the final four and winning conference, district and regional titles with her team last year. She also loves traveling and bonding with her teammates.

Madison Shami WESTLAKE>>TENNIS JUNIOR>>SECOND SINGLES

On the court: Has an overall record of 9-3 at second singles, going 5-0 with wins over Walsh Jesuit, Avon Lake, North Olmsted, Solon and Parma. She is 5-0in the Great Lakes Conference.

Off the court: Shami’s favorite tennis memory was when she played against Avon Lake. She lost the first set, 6-2, and came back and won the second set, 7-5. The third set tiebreaker started as the sun was going down. Barely seeing the ball, she won, 10-8. She says the competitio­n was fierce and she had to be creative with her shot selection in order to win. She also runs sprint events in track for Westlake. She loves traveling out west to ski and she has played piano for over 10years.

Logan Brown AVON>>SOCCER SENIOR>>DEFENSE

On the field: Brown made a sliding tackle to secure a 0-0tie against Avon Lake and has been consistent­ly one of the best defenders in the area all season.

Off the field: Brown’s favorite sports memory is winning the district championsh­ip in double overtime his sophomore year. His hobbies are soccer and hockey. His favorite food is chicken and his favorite sports team is Ohio State.
