Gail Pearson Connor

Gail Pearson Connor, age 86, of Avon Lake, Ohio, passed away peacefully September 10, 2021 surrounded by family. She was born February 26, 1935 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to parents George and Hazel (nee Renard) Pearson

Gail was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She moved with her parents to Ohio and graduated from Sandusky High School. Upon graduation, Gail attended Mount Union College and became a member of the Alpha Xi Delta sorority. She graduated in 1957 with a BS/RN and was a proud Purple Raider.

Gail married Jack Connor in 1959, and she lived her adult life between Ohio and Illinois. Gail was a dedicated mother who resumed her nursing career after her children were older. She first was a visiting nurse in Alliance, then worked at Mansfield General Hospital and later at Marymount Hospital in Cleveland. She was also a member of PEO International for over 40 years.

In her free time, Gail loved watching sports, playing bridge, traveling across the country, taking long walks with her dogs and spending time with family and friends. She was a model of courage and grace and will be missed dearly.

Gail is survived by her daughter Jill (Greg) Kalata and son Kevin (Robyn) Connor; and her two grandsons Ethan and Andrew Connor. She is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Jack; her parents; and two older brothers, Robert and Lloyd Pearson.
