Penfield/Spencer Townships

Lorain County Engineer Ken Carney announces the closure of Smith Road, between SR 301 and Foster Road, for the replacement of the Smith Road Bridge. The actual construction site is just east of SR 301.

The cost of the project is $256,440, with funding provided by The Ohio Public Works Commission. The project is a joint effort by the US Bridge Corporation, a division of the Ohio Bridge Corporation of Cambridge, Ohio, and the Counties of Lorain and Medina.

The work will begin at 8:00 am on Monday, September 20, 2021 and is expected to be completed by 5:00 pm on Friday, November 19, 2021, weather permitting.
