Lorain police arrest man during drug raid
A 26-year-old Lorain man is in the Lorain County Jail after suspected drugs and a firearm were found Sept. 17 in a house in the 1200 block of West 11th Street during the execution of a search warrant, according to Lorain police.
Police arrested Tyren Cervenak, 26, on a parole violation in connection with a 2016 aggravated robbery, according to a news release from
Lorain police.
Members of the Lorain Police SWAT, the Police Department’s K-9 unit and FBI participated in the serving of the search warrant that stemmed from a drug investigation.
When police entered the home, they found Cervenak, a woman, and seven children ages five to 14.
Additionally, they found a .380 semi-automatic handgun with extended magazines, two bags of suspected narcotics totaling 36 grams, a scale and a bulletproof vest, the release said.
The Lorain Police Narcotics Unit and Special Investigative Unit received a tip that led them to the home. Cervenak is expected to remain in Lorain County Jail on his parole violation, the release said.
The drug investigation remains ongoing and federal charges could be forthcoming.
