Kendal at Oberlin hopes to fill positions during an on-site job fair 4-7p,m. Sept. 22in Heiser Community Center.

Kendal at Oberlin is holding an on-site job fair Sept. 22 where those interested can learn about the many employee opportunit­ies and benefits of working at a premier nonprofit continuing care retirement community, according to a news release.

The job fair will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in Heiser Community Center, 600 Kendal

Drive in Oberlin.

Bring your resume and wear a face mask, which is required, the release said.

Kendal at Oberlin offers jobs in many areas where exciting careers can develop, according to the release.

Nursing and health services, creative arts therapy, facility services, hospitalit­y services and administra­tive operations all provide opportunit­ies for job growth in the stable environmen­t of a Quaker values-based retirement community.

Benefits include flexible schedules, competitiv­e wages, paid time off, medical, dental and vision insurance, tuition assistance, retirement plans, nationally accredited onsite preschool and fitness center with indoor pool.

Some benefits are available for part-time positions.

Kendal at Oberlin is ranked as an “Employer of Choice” by Leading Age Ohio.

It also is only one of a handful of Ohio continuing care retirement communitie­s to receive a voluntary, quality improvemen­t accreditat­ion from the Commission on Accreditat­ion of Rehabilita­tion Facilities, CARF Internatio­nal, according to the release.

Kendal opened its doors in 1993 and is located on grounds with 110 acres of trees, ponds and walkways.

It is home to about 350 older adults in independen­t living, assisted living and skilled nursing.

Of the 228-person staff, 60% are full time and the rest are part-time and oncall (PRN).
