Vermilion quilt guild meeting Sept. 27

The Vermilion Sit and Stitch Quilt Guild will meet at 7 p.m., Sept. 27 in the pavilion at Trinity Lutheran Church, 3747 Liberty Ave. in Vermilion.

The program for the evening is an explanation of the Navajo Quilt Project, a project designed to get fabrics and sewing essentials to the elders on the reservations who are unable to reach quilt stores and who cannot afford new materials and supplies, according to a news release.

There will be time for an exchange of birthday blocks and time for show and tell of quilt projects by the members.
