US Marshals honor Local law enforcement

Two Lorain County law enforcement officers were honored for their work Sept. 16 by the U.S. Marshals during its annual awards ceremony.

Jeff Yusko of the Lorain County Sheriff’s Office and Lorain police Officer Ed Soto both were nominated by the Lorain Division for the Wayne Leon Officer of the Year award, given out annually.

Yusko was nominated for 2019 and Soto was nominated for 2020.

Neither officer ultimately earned the top honor.

The event took place at Progressive Field.
