Grace Frazier (nee Marker)

Grace Frazier (nee Marker) passed away peacefully Thursday, September 23, 2021 at University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center after a valiant fight, from breakthrough Covid. Her sister, Loretta was with her when she gained

her wings. Grace Elaine Marker, our GEM, was born in Lorain on May 5, 1965, the youngest daughter of John W. and Kathleen (Kay) Marker. She attended Jane Lindsey Elementary, Longfellow Junior High and graduated in 1983

from Lorain High School. She went on to get her degree from LCCC and worked as an x-ray technician for many years at Mercy Hospital in Lorain before her retirement due to her health.

Grace was a caring and loving person. Even with her issues she helped care for both her Mom and mother-in-law when their health was declining. For many years, she cared for her disabled husband and especially the past eight months after he was diagnosed with cancer. She always cared for others even with her debilitating health issues.

She enjoyed bingo, her flowers, sunsets at Lakeview Park and Baileys Irish Cream in her coffee! Gracie always

looked forward to spending time with her family and friends. Over the past couple years, Grace looked forward to the ‘sisters lunches’ with her four sisters. The most recent one last month, with all five of us girls talking and laughing for several hours, while enjoying a picnic lunch outside. It was a lovely afternoon, that her sisters will always cherish. This lunch especially, espoused the sister love we had and this is how her four sisters choose to remember Gracie.

Grace is survived by her children whom she dearly loved, Thomas Widman of Lorain and Amanda Frazier of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In addition, she is survived by her four sisters, Beth (Bill) Henley and Loretta Marker of Lorain, Phyllis (Richard) Donnelly of Bay Village and Margaret Marker (Jeff) of Lakewood. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She will be missed by her lifelong friend and birthday buddy, James, who credits Grace for the backyard pool that all the neighborhood kids enjoyed. She will also be missed by her longtime friend, Shelly.
