Republican Club hosting candidates

The Avon-Avon Lake Republican Club announced it will host three speakers on Oct. 14 who will be available at 5 p.m. for a social hour in the Avon Isle Park Pavilion, 37080 Detroit Road in Avon.

Mike Gibbons, candidate for the US Senate and Jonah Schulz, candidate for House of Representatives’ 16th District, will speak at the meeting. Also, an “Action Defense” speaker will describe tips and techniques that will help people avoid becoming a crime victim and identify other protective options.

Cost for guests is $5.
