Woman robbed at gunpoint in Westlake

A woman told police she was robbed Sept. 27 at gunpoint of $500 by a man she met at the Cheesecake Factory at Crocker Park in Westlake in the belief she would purchase a cell phone from him, according to Westlake police.

The woman told police the man took the money from her via a CashApp transaction and “brandished a firearm and threatened to kill her,” according to police.

After an investigation, police tracked down the man and arrested him.
