Prayer service: Lake Shore United Methodist Church, 33119Electric Blvd., Avon Lake, is hosting a Community Prayer Service, at 7 p.m. Oct. 20. All are invited to attend in person or via live streaming on the church’s Facebook page for what promises to be a powerful evening of prayer for healing and forgiveness. “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the midst of them.” Matthew 18:20 (KJV).

Craft bazaar: Fields United Methodist

Church Missions Committee is sponsoring its 31st annual Craft Bazaar from 9a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 9 The Bazaar will be held in the Fellowship Hall of the church, 34077Lorain Road, North Ridgeville. There are many crafters with seasonal, fall, and Christmas items for your shopping and browsing pleasure. Shoppers can look forward to door prizes, a bake sale, refreshments and breakfast/lunch items for purchase, and more. A $1 donation per person is requested at the door (kids admitted free). Proceeds from the Craft Bazaar will go toward the annual mission trip and other mission programs of the church.
