Thanks to police for bikes
Our Lorain Police Department recently donated five bicycles to the football program at Lorain High. The police had been notified that a number of players have transportation issues involving practice and school. The police department acted.
This is an important lesson for our kids.
There are lots of coaches who try to help kids see what success looks like and all the character development that eventually results in contributing citizenship.
It takes little effort to complain. We are better when we see a problem and find ways to address it.
Responsible citizenship is something we encourage the kids to copy. Thanks to the Lorain police for stepping up and helping our kids.
We hope the kids thank the police and remember this generosity when they see an opportunity to serve our community. Coach David McFarland and the Lorain High Freshman Team
