Jon Husted and JobsOhio that Berk- shire Refrigerated Warehousing LLC plans to construct new 150,000-square-foot facility in Sheffield Village, bringing 90 jobs to Lorain County.
The project was approved July 25 for an eight-year Job Creation Tax Credit by the Ohio Tax Credit Authority, according to a news release from Manning.

The Chicago-based Berkshire Refrigerated Warehousing provides non-contract refrigerated warehousing and storage services.
The company provides storage for both refrigerated and frozen foods as well as services for processing, preparing and packaging foods for contracted companies.
“Lorain County boasts a world-class workforce, and companies nationwide are taking notice,” Manning said. “Berkshire Refrigerated Warehousing’s investment will bring dozens of high-paying jobs, and enhance Lorain County’s reputation as a destination for economic investment.
“I’m proud to support the collaborative efforts of state, county, and local partners that made this project possible.”
The tax credit granted to Berkshire Refrigerated Warehousing was one of seven project approved July 25 by the Tax Credit Authority.
The seven projects are set to create 660 new jobs and retain 3,333 jobs statewide, the release said.
Collectively, the projects are expected to result in more than $39 million in new payroll and spur more than $51.8 million in investments across Ohio, according to the release.
