On the court: Kretchmar finished third at the Lorain County Tournament to earn the highest finish for a singles player from Vermilion in seven years. He is 7-3this year. Off the court: Kretchmar is known as “Sevie,” and his favorite sports memory is winning his first UTSA tennis tournament at nine years old. He also plays varsity soccer and enjoys golfing, vacations and hanging out with friends.

On the diamond: In five games, Jarimar had a .647battling average with 11hits. She had two RBI, scored four runs and stole seven bases.

Off the diamond: Besides playing softball, Jarimar enjoys playing volleyball and basketball, and running cross country. Also known as “MarMar” and “Jari,” Jarimar’s favorite subjects are English and science, and her favorite team is University of Oklahoma softball.

On the diamond: Spencer went 4-for9hitting with an RBI and a double. He also scored four times, was walked three times and stole seven bases.

Off the diamond: Spencer’s nickname is “Pete,” and his favorite sports memory was throwing out a runner at home from left field as a freshman. He plays for the T3Warhawks in the summer, and he says his unique talent is his absurd knowledge of history and government. He plans to go to law school and be in Congress later on.

On the field: In three games, Ava had 28 saves and allowed only 11goals in leading the team to a 2-1record in those games. Off the field: Ava enjoys when she can see her team starting to bond. Her favorite sports memory was in fourth grade when a longtime coach was upset at her for not stretching, and took her off the field to manually stretch her. Her hobbies are playing the violin, growing plants and swimming in the lake or ocean.
