Firelands welcomes physical medicine and rehab specialist
Firelands Physician Group has a new physician.
Dr. Christian Siebenaler recently joined the practice with Dr. Joseph Riley, according to a news release.
Both physicians treat patients at Firelands Regional Medical Center’s Inpatient Rehabilitation Center, the release said.
Siebenaler is a physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist, also known as a physiatrist, with interest in the areas of sports medicine, sports-related injuries, stroke recovery, spinal cord injuries and brain injuries, according to the release.
“Having a parent in the medical field allowed me to see firsthand the impact a physician can have on a person’s life,” Siebenaler said in the release. “I went into physical medicine and rehabilitation particularly to help patients improve and regain functional independence after a life-changing event.”
Siebenaler’s hobbies include exercising, cooking, golfing, rooting for the Detroit Lions, and spending time with his family, the release said.
He earned his doctor of medicine at the University of Toledo College of Medicine and completed his physical medicine and rehabilitation residency at the University of Toledo Medical Center, according to the release.
Siebenaler’s office is located at Firelands Spine Center, 703 Tyler St., Suite 352, in Sandusky.
