Lynn Ray Olsieski, aged 78, a resident of Vermilion, passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at his home. Born on February 21, 1945, in Boone, IA, Lynn had been a cherished member of the Vermilion community for over four decades, having relocated from North Ridgeville. Lynn proudly served his country as a veteran of the US Army. Throughout his profession­al life, Lynn dedicated over 50 years as an Electricia­n with the IBEW Local 38. His work spanned notable projects such as the Alaskan Pipe Line, Browns Stadium, and Progressiv­e Field. He was an active member of various veterans’ organizati­ons within the community. Lynn’s commitment to honoring fellow veterans was evident through his service on the Vermilion Veterans Council Honor Guard for many years. He found joy in lakeside living, indulging in boating and fishing. Known for his jovial spirit, Lynn was always ready for a good time. Lynn is survived by his wife, Gail Leber of Vermilion, and his daughters, Ashley (Adam) Beckwith, Annaliese “Annie” (Jake) Daniels, and Alyssa (Josh McLaughlin) Olsieski; as well as his brothers, sister, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Jr. and Evelyn (nee Brophy) Olsieski. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects on Sunday, February 25, 2024, from 3-6 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, located at 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Private graveside services will be held at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributi­ons to a Veterans organizati­on of the donor’s choice.
