State of Wellington breakfast set in March

The Wellington Kiwanis Club will sponsor its seventh annual State of Wellington breakfast featuring village and school leaders at 8 a.m., March 28, at Wellington Eagles, 631 S. Main St. in Wellington.

Keynote speakers scheduled are Wellington Schools Superinten­dent Ed Weber and Treasurer Mark Donnelly, Wellington Mayor Hans Schneider and Village Manager Jonathan Greever, according to a news release.

The speakers will look back on 2023 and outline their goals for 2024, the release said.

Tickets are $15.

They can be purchased at the Mayor’s Office on the third floor of the Town Hall; Bremke Insurance, 104 S. Main St.; Fifth Third Bank, 161 E. Herrick Ave.; Colonial Barbershop, 121 W. Herrick Ave.; and Main Street Wellington office, 118 W. Herrick Ave.

Tickets must be purchased by March 23.

The buffet breakfast will be served by the Fraternal Order of Eagles starting at 7:30 a.m. with the program beginning at 8.

All proceeds from the breakfast are earmarked for the Wellington Kiwanis Club’s project of raising funds for community playground equipment, according to the release.

The Wellington Kiwanis Club is in its 100th year.

Members meet at noon the first and third Thursday of each month at South Lorain County Ambulance District’s community meeting room, 179 E. Herrick Ave.
