Area job fairs upcoming

OhioMeansJ­obs and some of its partners will host job fairs in the coming days, according to a news release.

Oberlin Community Career Connection will host a hiring event from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., March 19, at the Oberlin Enrichment and Activities Center, 36 S. Prospect St., the release said.

The North Coast Job Market will hold a job fair from 1-4 p.m., March 21, at OhioMeansJ­obs Lorain County office at 42495 North Ridge Road in Elyria Township, according to the release.

Both of the job fairs are free and open to the public, the release said.

Attendees can meet local employers who are hiring now, according to the release.

Also, those in attendance for the job fairs can get interviews right onthe-spot, the release said.

This is an opportunit­y for job seeks to highlight their own skills, and learn how there is training available, both on-thejob and at several local schools and training providers, according to the release.

To date, the participat­ing employers include: the city of Oberlin Recreation/ Public Works/Fire department­s; Welcome Nursing Home; Kendal at Oberlin; Lorain County Community Action Agency; Lorain County Joint Vocational School; Lorain Metropolit­an Housing Authority; Lorain County Public Health; Green Circle Growers; GoGreen Landscapin­g; RIDGID Tools; Erie Industrial Products and Watteredge, according to the release.
