• Triple‑A Columbus was idle on July 25. The Clippers (57‑46) open a series on July 26 at Norfolk, with Adam Plutko (2‑3, 5.10 ERA) getting the start for Columbus.

• Christian Arroyo’s RBI single in the top of the 10th inning led visiting Richmond to a 2‑1 victory over the Double‑A Akron Rubber‑ Ducks. Akron (54‑49) led, 1‑0, in the sixth inning on Claudio Bautista’s RBI hit, which scored Daniel Salters. But that was the only run the Rubber-Ducks mustered. Michael Peoples gave up one run in seven innings for Akron, but didn’t get a decision, Zach McAllister pitched one inning of score‑ less relief on a rehab assign‑ ment from the Indians.

• High‑A Wilmington slugged out 13 hits (four doubles) in a 6‑2 win over host Lynchburg. Anthony Santander had two hits for the Hillcats (65‑35), Taylor Murphy hit a home run for Lynchburg, and Paul Hendrix slapped an RBI single in a losing cause.

• Short‑season Mahon‑ ing Valley never trailed in a doublehead­er sweep of visiting Connecticu­t. The Scrappers scored three runs in the first inning in Game 1, holding on for a 3‑2 win. Then they scored runs in five straight innings in Game 2 for an 8‑2 win. Erlin Cerda had a two‑run double to spark the team in the first game. In the nightcap, Mayfield grad Mitch Longo had an RBI double (his fifth double of the season) to help the Scrappers improve their record to 16‑21.
