Organization hopes to raise money with fundraiser
The Miracle League of Lake County, is hosting the First Pitch Fundraiser to generate the money needed to build the universally adapted baseball playing field and playground at Classic Park in Eastlake.
The playing field and playground are designed to allow special-needs children the opportunity to play baseball and play with less risk of injury by playing on a special rubberized turf designed to accommodate wheelchairs and other needed devices.
The fundraising event, sponsored by CT Consultants Inc., the Deepwood Foundation, the Lake County Captains, and the city of Eastlake, will be held at NOAH’s Event Venue, 8200 Norton Parkway in Mentor, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. April 20.
Ticket options $75 per person, which comes with a ticket for the main board that has a pay out of $2,017 and is limited to 200 tickets; or $50 per person without a ticket for the main board.
The event will include a 50/50 raffle, $3 and $5 side boards with $300 and $500 payouts, a double reverse raffle, silent auction and Chinese auction. Chinese auction tickets to be sold at 26 for $5.
Silent auction items include a Francisco Lindor autographed baseball, an A.
J. Green autographed football helmet, a Joe Haden autographed football, a Lake County Captains 20-person suite with food, and box seat Cleveland Indians tickets.
Chinese auctions features an assortment of baskets and items, including artwork, wine baskets, Cleveland browns backpack with Browns paraphernalia, and much more.
Baseball-themed food will be provided by the Lake County Captains
“This fundraiser is just another piece of the puzzle to get us to our final goal to build the Miracle League,” Eastlake Mayor Dennis Morley said.
Both cash and credit cards accepted for at the event.
