Taste of Painesville event slated for Sept. 7
The event dubbed as the largest after-work block party is returning to downtown Painesville on Sept. 7.
The Taste will be held from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Economic Development Director Cathy Bieterman said it is an opportunity to showcase the city and area restaurants.
“And, we have quite a few joining us this year,” she said.
There will be more than a dozen local eateries, including Rider’s Inn of Painesville, East Coast Custard of Mentor, Starfish and Coffee of Painesville, Local Tavern’s Fish Bar of Painesville, Aladdin’s Eatery of Mentor, Flavors Around the Square: F.A.T.S. of Painesville and Mama Roberto’s of Mentor.
There also will be a selection of crowd-pleasing food trucks.
The Painesville Community Improvement Corp. will oversee the beer tent.
“We will have great food and a great band,” she said. “It will be an evening of fun.”
Andy’s Last Band, a popular classic rock band that performs all across Northeast Ohio, will provide live music.
Admission and parking is free.
In previous years tickets were sold, but this year food and drinks can be purchased separately at the various vendors.
Main Street will close at 2 p.m. on Sept. 7 between St. Clair Street and State Street and will remain closed until 12 a.m. on Sept. 8. How- ever, parking will still available for business customers in the city’s free public parking lot and the lot behind the Main Street busi-
