Beer bargains

Find beer bargains galore at Colonial Beverage in Chester Township since its 60-year-old cooler bit the dust. The store at 8389 Mayfield Road is closing out most of its beer inventory at cost so the old florist cooler can be hauled away and the area transformed for wine.

The store will continue to carry a limited selection of craft beers and will order others upon request. Details: 440-7297303.

Fourk update

Those who found doors locked when going to dinner at Fourk in Mentor recently should know the Station Street restaurant is going through changes but is not closed.

Chef Ryan Scanlon is gone, along with the cotton ball table decor and large colorful food photos on the wall. The menu is a new one. Names of the new chef, Brad Reinhard, and the chief executive officer, Pam King, who came on board from Normandy Party Center, were shared. However, neither of them nor building owner Marc Wertenberger responded to requests to share their new vision for the place, which anchors the historic Matchworks Building.

The restaurant’s phone number is 440-266-9188.
