Health system announces partnership with Beachwood specialty hospital
Lake Health is partnering with more than 20 independent physicians and Manna Isle Ohio in the development of a specialty hospital in Beachwood.
The as-of-yet-unnamed hospital will be in a nearly 70,000-square-foot building on the corner of Richmond Road and Chagrin Boulevard in the Cuyahoga County city.
The acute care center is expected to open by early 2019 and will specialize in orthopedics, spine, urology, general surgery and pain management.
The hospital will employ between 150-200 staff members and have 25 patient beds, operating and procedure rooms, emergency room services, diagnostic services and physical therapy.
“This partnership builds upon Lake Health’s long history of partnering with local independent physicians to expand access to care within the community and continues our

The hospital is expected to serve as an additional location for Lake Health’s current physician practices to expand, as well as for new physician practices seeking to partner with Lake Health.
“Lake Health is a natural fit for this hospital project because of its long history of working with and supporting local independent physicians,” John Lin, concept developer for Manna Isle Ohio, said in a statement. “They share our values of allowing independent physicians to practice in a place in which they have significant input in the design, development and operations of the new facility.”
