Hooley House to sponsor N-H Classic all-star games
The partnership between Hooley House and The News-Herald has extended to basketball season.
Hooley House, the longtime presenting sponsor of The News-Herald Senior Bowl — an all-star game for area high school football graduating seniors — is now the presenting sponsor of The N-H Classic boys and girls basketball all-star games.
“We have a long history with Hooley House, and we are proud to extend that relationship into basketball season,” said News-Herald sports editor Mark Podolski. “The partnership between Hooley House and The News-Herald is very important to us, and we’re excited about joining together with them for years to come.”
The N-H Classic is scheduled for Saturday, March 31 at Lakeland Community College. The girls all-star game will begin at 11 a.m., and the boys game will tip off at 1 p.m. There will also be a 3-point shootout at halftime of each game.
Nomination sheets for the game will be sent out this week.
As part of the festivities, a special edition of the Varsity Chalk Talk Show — hosted by Bill Tilton — is set for Tuesday, March 27. That night, finalists for the News-Herald’s boys and girls basketball player of the year will be on hand, with the winners being announced.
