STUDENTS PERFORM Campus news
Three Newbury High School students performed in the Ohio Music Educators Association District VII Solo and Ensemble on Jan. 27. These Newbury students prepared and memorized a classical piece to be performed for an adjudicator at Mayfield High School. All three participants received the highest rating of “I”, or Superior on their classical works. Pictured left to right are junior Hannah Grubbs, sophomore Owen Otto, and junior Niamh Field. Hannah performed “Arabesque” by Debussy in class B, Owen performed “In Diesen Heilgen Hallen” by Mozart in the most difficult class A, and Niamh performed “O Mio Babbino Caro” by Puccini in the most difficult class A.
