John Kampf gets you ready for the Divisions I and II sectional finals on Feb. 22. Plus, the final edition of the Top of the Crop and weekly statistics for this season.

(9) EUCLID AT (1) NORTH What: Division I sectional final

When: 7 p.m., Feb. 22

On deck: Winner faces the winner of (4) Mentor and (5) Chardon on Feb. 26

For the record: This was a two-point game when they met in the regular season, with North winning. Constance Chaplin averages 19.3 for the Panthers, but the Rangers have a tough 1-2 punch in Destiny Leo (19.1) and Samantha Pirosko (18.1). Kampf’s pick: North

(5) CHARDON AT (4) MENTOR What: Division I sectional final

When: 7 p.m., Feb. 22

On deck: Winner faces the winner of (9) Euclid and (1) North on Feb. 26

For the record: Mentor is 8-15 but won a regularseason matchup against the Hilltoppers by one point in overtime. Key here is can shorter Chardon control Mentor’s 6-1 forward Teagan Ochaya? Kampf’s pick: Mentor (10) SHAW AT (2) KENSTON

What: Division I sectional final

When: 7 p.m., Feb. 22

On deck: Winner faces the winner of (3) Geneva and (6) Warren Harding on Feb. 26

For the record: The Bombers are one of the most tenacious defensive teams in the tournament. Corenna Maynard can score, but can really defend. Shaw topped Mayfield, but this is a bigger task. Kampf’s pick: Kenston

(6) WARREN HARDING AT (3) GENEVA What: Division I sectional final

When: 7 p.m., Feb. 22

On deck: Winner faces the winner of (2) Kenston and (10) Shaw on Feb. 26

For the record: Geneva opened its Division I trek with an easy win over Lakeside. Harding had little trouble with Riverside, but defending Abby Carter on the perimeter and Hailey Peoples-O’Neil in the paint won’t be easy. Kampf’s pick: Geneva

(8) LAKE CATHOLIC AT (1) GILMOUR What: Division II sectional final

When: 7 p.m., Feb. 22 On deck: Winner faces the winner of (4) VASJ and (5) Jefferson on Feb. 26

For the record: Lake Catholic avenged last year’s tournament loss to Harvey with a win over the Red Raiders in the first round. Their award - play a team many feel can win the D2 state title. Naz Hillmon had 35 points and 20 rebounds against John Hay. Yikes.

Kampf’s pick: Gilmour

(5) JEFFERSON AT (4) VASJ What: Division II sectional final

When: 7 p.m., Feb. 22

On deck: Winner faces the winner of (1) Gilmour and (8) Lake Catholic on Feb. 26

For the record: The Vikings open tournament play, while the Falcons are coming off a tourney-opening win over West Geauga. Kynadi Burge, Elizabeth Smith, the Saba twins — that’s a lot of depth and experience (seven total seniors) that give VASJ the edge. Kampf’s pick: VASJ

(7) HAWKEN AT (2) PERRY What: Division II sectional final

When: 7 p.m., Feb. 22

On deck: Winner faces the winner of (3) NDCL and (6) Lutheran East on Feb. 26

For the record: Tall post players can give Perry trouble, and Hawken’s Carly Perusek (21.4 ppg, 10.8 rpg) is that. But the Pirates’ intensity and athleticism at guard could be the difference here with Claire Dolan, Anna Sorine et al.

Kampf’s pick: Perry

(6) LUTHERAN EAST AT (3) NDCL What: Division II sectional final

When: 7 p.m., Feb. 22

On deck: Winner faces the winner of (2) Perry and (7) Hawken on Feb. 26

For the record: NDCL is riding the momentum of a school record for wins (16) and a solid all-around player in Lexi Hammer. Very interesting matchup, but NDCL plays tough defense and has played a rough schedule to tune up for this.

Kampf’s pick: NDCL

(5) CHAGRIN FALLS AT (4) EAST TECH What: Division II sectional final

When: 7 p.m., Feb. 22

On deck: Winner faces the winner of (1) Laurel and (8) Revere on Feb. 26

For the record: We touted Chagrin’s defense last week, and they responded with a 64-13 in over Cleveland JFK. Finding a way to slow down East Tech freshman Jaida Malone is a big task for the Tigers. Kampf’s pick: East Tech Kampf’s record: 16-2
