Woman ar­raigned on bur­glary charge

A 36-year-old Ashtab­ula res­i­dent ac­cused of il­le­gally en­ter­ing a struc­ture in Madi­son Town­ship in Au­gust faces a felony charge in Painesville Mu­nic­i­pal Court fol­low­ing her ar­raign­ment there March 13, court records show.

Misty Colon, who lives at 1922 E. 41st St., faces a sec­ond-de­gree felony bur­glary count. She is be­ing held on a $2,500/10 per­cent cash or surety bond with the op­tion of be­ing re­leased on a per­sonal re­cog­ni­zance bond if her grand­mother co-signs for her re­lease, Colon’s ar­raign­ment pa­per­work states.

If con­victed, she could get up to eight years be­hind bars.

Colon is due back in court for a pre­lim­i­nary hear­ing March 19, ac­cord­ing to her court file.
