Toga party fundraiser (Toga! Toga!) celebrates ‘Animal House’

- Janet Podolak Local Flavors

Don your toga or college colors when you join members and friends of the Greater Cleveland Film Commission on July 14 to celebrate its 20th birthday and the 40th anniversary of the film “Animal House.”

The film, which will be shown at the party, was co-written by Cleveland native and National Lampoon co-founder Doug Kenney.

The event takes place at the Mather Mansion, 2605 Euclid Ave., Cleveland. In true “Animal House” style, attendees are invited to come ready to party like in college with live music, food, and drinks — including kegs.

Tickets begin at $75, and the party start time varies with the ticket level. Part of each ticket price is tax-deductible.

The fundraiser aims to help the commission fulfill its goal of creating a thriving media production industry in Northeast Ohio.
