Area students in advanced program

Miami University’s Project Dragonfly has admitted a new cohort of students to its Advanced Inquiry Program. The AIP combines web— based graduate coursework through Miami University with face—to— face experienti­al learning at some of the nation’s premiere community learning institutio­ns.

• Matthew Debelak of Willoughby, was recently accepted into the Advanced Inquiry Program and will be taking classes toward a Master of Arts in Teaching degree in the Biological Sciences from Miami University through Project Dragonfly.

As a first—year AIP student, Debelak will complete web—based courses from Miami University with face—to— face experienti­al learning and field study through Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. Debelak works as an education assistant and lead camp counselor at Greater Cleveland Aquarium.

Richard Guthrie of Concord, was recently accepted into the Advanced Inquiry Program (AIP) and will be taking classes toward a Master of Arts in Teaching degree in the Biological Sciences from Miami University through Project Dragonfly.

As a first—year AIP student, Guthrie will complete web—based courses from Miami University with face—to— face experienti­al learning and field study through Cleveland Metroparks Zoo.

Guthrie works as a mathematic­s teacher at Berkshire Junior / Senior High School.

• Marisa Petherbrid­ge of Chagrin Falls, was recently accepted into the Advanced Inquiry Program and will be taking classes toward a Master of Arts degree in Biology from Miami University through Project Dragonfly.

As a first—year AIP student, Petherbrid­ge will complete web—based courses from Miami University with face—to— face experienti­al learning and field study through Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. Petherbrid­ge works as an outdoor recreation specialist and naturalist at Cleveland Metroparks Watershed Stewardshi­p Center.
