• Clippers: In the first game of a doublehead­er, Lehigh Valley topped Triple-A Columbus, 8-5. Shortstop Yu Chang hit a grand slam for the Clippers. The Clippers lost the second game, 10-5, in a makeup of a July 27 game that was postponed. Connor Marabell hit a triple and both Brandon Barnes and Johnny Field hit home runs for Columbus.

• RubberDuck­s: In the first game of a doublehead­er, host Erie got to Double-A Akron starter Aaron Civale for nine runs in 2 2⁄3 innings, and the SeaWolves won, 13-4. RubberDuck­s catcher Daniel Salters was 2-for-3 with an RBI. In the second game, which was a makeup of a July 26 game that was postponed due to wet grounds, the RubberDuck­s won, 7-2, piling on four runs in the seventh inning. Mark Mathais led the offense, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI.

• Hillcats: Host Myrtle Beach used a wild pitch and a single to score the gamewinnin­g run in the 12th inning and beat advanced Single-A Lynchburg, 1-0. The Hillcats were held to three hits and were 0-for14 with runners in scoring position. Hillcats starter Tanner Tully struck out five and didn’t walk a batter in 6 1⁄3 innings.

• Scrappers: In the first game of a doublehead­er, Cameron Mingo and two relievers combined on a three-hitter in visiting Mahoning Valley’s 3-0 win over Aberdeen in short-season Single-A. In the second game, Aberdeen took an early lead to beat Mahoning Valley, 4-2. Clark Scolamiero went 2-for-3 with a home run for Mahoning Valley.
