June “June Bug” Bogatay (Myers), longtime resident of Wil7, lowick, Ohio, died peacefully at Hospice of Savannah, July 2018, at the age of 91.

June Rose Bogatay was born June 14, 1927, to Catherine and Taylor Myers in Cleveland, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, James J. Bogatay; and a grandson, Joseph Helser. She was the last surviving sibling of eight.

She married her sweetheart when he returned from WWII and was a loving wife and mother. June served as President of the Eastlake VFW Post 3863 Women’s Auxiliary. She was active in all areas of the Women’s Auxiliary for many years.

June is survived by her daughter, Cindy Helser (Rick, Sr.) of Savannah, GA; grandson, Rick Helser, Jr. (Sarah); grand (PauTurner daughter, Connie Helser; her son, James Bogatay, Jr. lette) of Charlotte, NC; and grandchild­ren, Shaun (Amy), James C. Bogatay, Sabrina Reed (Joe); and four great-grandchild­ren, Mackenzie, Caleb, Addison, and Blake Turner.

A Celebratio­n of Life mass will be held July 30, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Magdalene Church in Willowick, folVFW lowed by a gathering of family and friends at Eastlake post 3863, Vine St., Eastlake, at noon.
