Which would you rather be?

Finally, here is an example we can talk to our children about. Bullying! See what happens to a loud mouth, name calling bully? Sooner or later, everything catches up with him. Yes, everyone is cringing, and slinking away, hoping not to be noticed by the bully. Hoping not to be his next victim, they stand silently by watching. But, there are a few that have the courage to say enough is enough. There are a few that will point out that the bully is a liar. That the bully is counting on fear, embarrassment and lack of courage to point out that this is not how civilized people comport themselves.

The current political situation is truly a wonderful example of what can happen to a bully, no matter who he is, what his job is or how entrenched his behavior. All that venom that he has spew is splashing right back in his face. This is truly a story of the Emperor’s New Clothes. He is naked and we are laughing. Good Luck, Mr. Bully! Thank you so much for this very important lesson! Children take note.

On the other side, a National Hero has died. We are all saddened. The man had the courage of his convictions. He was a human being. He had a few flaws. But, he fought the good fight. He will long be remembered as a kind man. People who knew him get choked up with sadness as they remember his spirit, sense of humor, love of country and humility. Which would you rather be?
