Flu shots planned at 4 locations in Geauga County
First one set for Sept. 18 at Giant Eagle
The Geauga County Department on Aging in conjunction with Giant Eagle and CVS, is offering four locations and four different dates so that Geauga senior citizens can receive their yearly flu shot.
Giant Eagle will be giving flu shots:
• Sept. 18, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Chagrin Falls Senior Center, 7060 Woodland Ave., in Bainbridge Township. Call 440-2478510 to register.
• Sept. 24, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the West Geauga Senior Center, 12650 West Geauga Plaza, Unit 4, in Chester Township. Call 440-729-2782 to register.
• Sept. 28, from 10 a.m. to noon at Chardon Senior Center, 12555 Ravenwood Drive in Chardon. Call 440279-2131 to register.
Payment options for these three clinics — As with any prescription each medical and or prescription plan has formulary medications.
Giant Eagle Pharmacy accepts most major pharmacy benefits and some medical plans along with Medicare Part B.
Participants should bring all insurance card and ID that day.
For patients without coverage or vaccination benefits, Quadrivalent Influenza (4 strain approved for all ages) out of pocket cost is $40.99 for patients ages 65 and older out of pocket cost is $66.99
Call to register for an appointment. Vaccines provided by Giant Eagle Pharmacy appointments are 5 minute intervals. CVS will offer flu shots : • Oct. 12, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Middlefield Senior Center, 15820 Ridgewood Drive, in conjunction with CVS Healthcare. Signups will be from 10 to 11 a.m. and will be first come, first serve in the hour being signed up for.
Attendees are asked wear short sleeves and bring all insurance cards with them. Call individual insurance providers prior to the date to verify coverage. Call the senior center directly to register at 440-632-0611.
