Legacy Village unveils schedule of Christmas various holiday events
Legacy Village has announced a lineup of Christmas holiday events that will feature new and traditional programs and promotions.
Offerings range from the new Wildroots Night Out series to perennial favorites like Sip & Shop events, Black Friday Survival Kits and visits with Santa.
Here’s a look at what visitors can experience:
• Sip and Shop series: Nov. 14 and Dec. 13
Legacy Village retailers Lilly Pulitzer and L.L. Bean headline the Sip and Shop series during the holidays. On Nov. 14, Lilly Pulitzer will provide guests with Lilly-inspired ideas for dressing for holiday parties and gift giving, a Legacy Village news release stated. On Dec. 13, L.L. Bean will share the latest outerwear trends, along with last-minute holiday gift ideas.
Sip and Shop events run from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Throughout the evening, attendees will enjoy refreshments courtesy of one of the Legacy Village restaurants and enter-to-win opportunities courtesy of Legacy Village. While there is no cost to attend the series, registration in advance for the Lilly Pulitzer and L.L. Bean events are recommended.
• Black Friday Survival Kits: Nov. 23
Legacy Village is helping holiday shoppers survive the frenzy with a Black Friday Survival Kit. Starting at 10 a.m. on Black Friday, the first 150 shoppers to stop by the first-floor vestibule between Starbucks and Contessa Gallery will receive a survival kit.
The kit contains healthy snacks, discounts and giveaways from Legacy Village restaurants, merchants and more.
Complimentary coffee and hot chocolate will be provided courtesy of Starbucks, as well as free 10-minute warm up sessions at Barre3 to re-energize while shopping. • #CreateJOY Beginning on Black Friday and running throughout the holiday season, visitors can create their own JOY with photo opportunities at Legacy Village’s new life-size JOY sign on The Lawn. • Wildroots Night Out: Nov. 29
Legacy Village is launching a new Wildroots Night Out series in partnership with Wildroots Market. The series kicks off on Nov. 29 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. with Wildroots Market maker Caroline of Cozy by Caroline.
Attendees can enjoy a night of crafting, small bites, and light refreshments. Tickets are $35 per person and include all supplies necessary to complete the project.
Space is limited, and advance registration is encouraged. The class will be held in the storefront next to LOFT. Visit Legacy-Village.com for additional class offerings in December.
Some of the returning holiday favorites appearing on Legacy Village’s Christmas holiday schedule are:
• Free photo with Santa: Saturdays and Sundays from Nov. 24 to Dec. 23
Visit with Santa from noon to 4 p.m. at Guest Services on Main Street (between Starbucks and Janie &Jack), and provide a donation at the same time.
A first photo with Santa is free, courtesy of Legacy Village, Q104 and L.L. Bean. Additional photos and photo packages are available for purchase. A donation of $5 will be made to Cleveland Clinic Children’s for each free photo, and a portion of photo package sales will be donated. Young guests also can make a greeting card, which will be delivered to children at the hospital.
• Holidays in the Village: Saturdays and Sundays from Dec. 1 to Dec. 23
The holiday season at Legacy Village wouldn’t be complete without winter and holiday-themed activities, including live music, children’s activities, gift card giveaways, costumed characters, ice carving demonstrations and more, the release stated.
Family-friendly activities will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturdays; and live musical performances with local choirs and bands are slated from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sundays. For activities and performance schedules planned each weekend, visit www. Legacy-Village.com.
• The Jingle Bell Run: Dec. 9
Don your favorite holiday apparel during the Arthritis Foundation’s annual Jingle Bell Run, a holiday-themed 5K race. Racers can enjoy a fun way to get decked out for the holidays, while raising funds and awareness to cure arthritis. • Pet Photos with Santa: Dec. 18
Bring your favorite fourlegged friend and snap a photo with Santa from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Guest Services on Main Street (between Starbucks and Janie & Jack). Proceeds will benefit Rescue Village. • Helping the community Legacy Village is a sponsor of this year’s Coats for Kids Campaign and serving as a drop-off location for donations. The donation bin is located on the second floor of the Main Building, at the top of the escalator. The Salvation Army will be on-site with a Red Kettle to collect donations throughout the season.
Legacy Village is a lifestyle center, located on Cedar Road in Lyndhurst, which offers shopping, dining and entertainment opportunities for visitors.
