Items sought for Project Hope
A donation drive, “Hope for the Holidays,” will be accepting various donations to benefit Project Hope for the Homeless until Dec. 22.
The drive asks for: 3335 gallon garbage bags; plastic or Styrofoam cups; vinyl gloves (size large); drink mix (no red color); toilet bowl cleaner; paper towels; toothpaste; ear plugs; hand warmers; hot chocolate; Home Depot gift cards; toilet paper; plastic spoons; and men’s extra-large T-shirts.
Project Hope for the Homeless is the only homeless shelter in Lake County and they provide emergency shelter and services for homeless persons seeking care, according to a news release.
They also offer other services such as mental health outreach, support groups, substance abuse prevention and survival skills workshops.
