Items sought for Project Hope

A do­na­tion drive, “Hope for the Hol­i­days,” will be ac­cept­ing var­i­ous dona­tions to ben­e­fit Project Hope for the Home­less un­til Dec. 22.

The drive asks for: 3335 gal­lon garbage bags; plas­tic or Sty­ro­foam cups; vinyl gloves (size large); drink mix (no red color); toi­let bowl cleaner; pa­per tow­els; tooth­paste; ear plugs; hand warm­ers; hot choco­late; Home De­pot gift cards; toi­let pa­per; plas­tic spoons; and men’s ex­tra-large T-shirts.

Project Hope for the Home­less is the only home­less shel­ter in Lake County and they pro­vide emer­gency shel­ter and ser­vices for home­less per­sons seek­ing care, ac­cord­ing to a news re­lease.

They also of­fer other ser­vices such as men­tal health out­reach, sup­port groups, sub­stance abuse pre­ven­tion and sur­vival skills work­shops.

Dona­tions can be dropped off at any Painesville Town­ship fire sta­tion or Town­ship Hall.
