Break­ers lose late

The Men­tor Ice Break­ers used a four-goal sec­ond pe­riod to rally from 3-0 and 4-1 deficits but lost, 6-5, at Water­town on Dec. 7.

An­ton Len­narts­son’s goal with 17 sec­onds re­main­ing in reg­u­la­tion clinched the win for Water­town. Men­tor had tied the game at 5 when Richard Pinkowski scored at the 5:35 mark of the third pe­riod.

The Ice Break­ers fell to 4-9 and their 12 points put them in last place in the six-team Fed­eral League.

Men­tor also got goals from Gordy Bon­nel, Ryan Alves, De­clan Con­way and Thomas Devesyre. Ivan Vil­causkas, Pinkowski and Alexan­der Morrow each had two as­sists.

The Ice Break­ers out­shot Water­town in the game, 38-32.

Men­tor plays at Elmira on Dec. 8. The puck drops at 7:05 p.m.
