ABOUT THE BUTTERFLIES
According to Matt Edwards, animal care specialist at the Cleveland Botanical Garden, there are 35 varieties of butterflies in the Costa Rica biome, most of them native to South and Central America. They all share the same life cycle, but smaller butterflies complete their life cycles in just a few days, while larger ones will take about two weeks to complete the process. They live three to eight weeks in the Costa Rica biome, where about a thousand butterflies will be found flying free each day.
