Contra Dances set for December, February

Troy Township Contra Dances will take place Dec. 7 and Feb. 1, at the Troy Community House, 13950 Main Market Road.

All ages are invited to take part in the dance with live folk music. Lesson are at 6:30 p.m. followed by the dance from 7:30 to 10:30.

The cost is $10 for adult, $5 for youths and $25 per family.

No need for prior dance experience, according to a news release. Each Contra Dance, throughout the evening, is taught through simple instruction by dance caller Paul Balliet.
