Off the lanes: “Val” is a Painesvill­e resident. Enjoys playing softball and spending time with her siblings. Enjoys writing and watching “Grey’s Anatomy.” Favorite team is the Cavaliers.

On the court: Posted 19points, 12 rebounds and three blocks in a 56-54 victory over NDCL, including a late and-one layup to tie the score at 54-54. Recorded nine points, 12 rebounds and made the game-winning jumper against Cleveland Central Catholic to help Beaumont clinch the NCL White title. Added another double-double of 14 points and 11 rebounds in a win over Streetsbor­o.

Off court: “Al” is a Chester Township resident. Plans on playing basketball in college. Favorite sports memories are from past AAU seasons, traveling and spending time with her team in the summer, and her eighth grade team being undefeated.
