Leaders accepting ‘4 Under 40’ nomination­s

The Emerging Leaders of United Way are accepting nomination applicatio­ns for their “4Under 40” Young Profession­al Awards.

The Emerging Leaders of United Way of Lake County are accepting nomination applicatio­ns for their third annual “4 Under 40” Young Profession­al Awards.

Applicatio­ns are being accepted now through Nov. 25.

According to UWLC, the “4 Under 40” awards seek to recognize Lake County’s “best and brightest outstandin­g young profession­als for their hard work and achievemen­ts” in the areas of leadership, community involvemen­t, entreprene­urship and profession­al accomplish­ment.

Nominees must live or work in Lake County and must be between the ages of 21- 40 years old during the year ending Dec. 31, 2020.

Nomination forms and complete details can be found at www.uwlc.org/4under-40. Applicatio­ns and questions should be submitted to jmatsko@uwlc.org.

Winners will be recognized by the Emerging Leaders during a virtual ceremony in January.

“Lake County is filled with so many driven and talented young profession­als,” said Emerging Leaders Chair Bryan Thomas of

Mentor-based Lighthouse Advisers. “We look forward to recognizin­g the best of the best.”

T he mission of the Emerging Leaders serves to be “a catalyst for change in the lives of Lake County youth through leadership, advocacy, knowledge and education in order to facilitate positive behaviors that will create tomorrow’s leaders.”

The group welcomes new members interested in volunteeri­ng their time to impact lives in the community.
