On the court: In three games, scored 32 points, grabbed 18 rebounds, had three assists, eight steals and five blocked shots.

Off the court: Favorite sports memory is having an undefeated basketball season when she was in seventh grade at LaMuth Middle School. “After winning the championsh­ip game we got to cut down the net.” Has been a 4-H member for seven years. “My projects have been show steers, pigs and turkeys. Participat­ing in the fair is always fun.” Enjoys playing with her four dogs. Favorite food is steak. Loves basketball and has been playing since she was in third grade. For her favorite sports team, says: “Whatever team my cousin Mitchell Trubisky is playing on. So right now my favorite team is the Chicago Bears.”

Owen Redmond NDCL»BOYS BASKETBALL SENIOR»POINT GUARD

On the court: In a 42-39 win over Padua, had 22 points on 7-for-11 shooting, including four 3-pointers. In a loss to Warren JFK, had 18points, four assists, three rebounds and three steals.

Off the court: Bainbridge Township resident plans on majoring in business in college. “After having the entire school baseball season canceled last year due to COVID, it’s great to get on the court this year.” Is an avid shoe collector. Is the owner of OTG Kicks and Apparel, LLC. Enjoys rap music, hooping with friends and rooting for the Cleveland sports teams. Favorite sports memories include the Cavaliers winning the 2016 NBA Finals and the Browns getting to the playoffs and beating the Steelers.

BEAUMONT»GIRLS BASKETBALL SENIOR»GUARD

On the court: Became Beaumont’s alltime leading scorer and now has 1,305 points. In three games, averaged 20.7. Had 27 points in a come-from-behind win over Akron SVSM in double overtime.

Off the court: Chardon resident will play basketball at Canisius. “Some of my favorite sports memories are traveling to AAU tournament­s with my dad and getting to spend the entire weekend surrounded by teammates and friends.” Favorite subject is English. Plans on majoring in journalism and communicat­ions in college. Loves watching “The Office” and any Cleveland sports team.

Eric Toth MENTOR»HOCKEY JUNIOR»FORWARD

On the ice: In four games at the Walter F. Ehrnfelt Invitation­al, had four goals and four assists, including the game-winning goals against Hudson and Harborcree­k. Off the ice: “E” says one of his favorite memories is playing high school hockey with his brother Alex the past two years and winning two Red Division Baron Cups. Enjoys cooking, playing golf and playing video games. One of his favorite classes is woodworkin­g. Favorite foods are chicken alfredo and Chipotle. Is a big fan of the Browns and Indians.

On the court: In games against Cardinal and Kirtland, had 37points, was 6of 14 on 3-pointers, had 10 rebounds, eight assists, four steals and one blocked shot. Off the court: “Lyd” says she spends the majority of her team playing basketball, working out or playing video games. Favorite show is “Criminal Minds.” Favorite sports memory is making the game-winning basket against Jefferson. Listens to a lot of music. Favorite subject is math. Also enjoys reading in her free time. Favorite food is mangos.

Haley Coso KIRTLAND»GIRLS BASKETBALL SENIOR»CENTER

On the court: In three games, scored 46 points, grabbed 27 rebounds, blocked seven shots and had 10steals. Recorded her first double-double of the season against Grand Valley.

Off the court: Is deciding between Michigan and Ohio State and will major in chemical engineerin­g. Enjoys hanging out with friends every day. Favorite movie is “How to Train Your Dragon.” Favorite show is “Grey’s Anatomy.” Favorite foods are shrimp and cheese rangoons. Is president of Kirtland SAGA (Sexuality And Gender Acceptance) and has been in a few school plays.

Ainsley Lyles MENTOR»GYMNASTICS SENIOR

In the gym: Took first place in the floor exercise with a 9.25against the 2020 state champion from Brunswick. Also placed on the balance beam and was in the top three in the all-around with a personal-best 34.

Out of the gym: Plans on majoring in chemical engineerin­g at the University of Cincinnati. Favorite gymnastics memories include making it to the state meet in her freshman and sophomore years as a team, enjoying spending time with her friends on the team inside and outside of the gym and making it out of the sectional meet in the floor exercise her junior year. Enjoys math and science, and favorite class is AP chemistry. Favorite show is “Criminal Minds.” Favorite food is french fries.

Avril Drew NORTH»GIRLS BASKETBALL SENIOR»GUARD

On the court: In victories over Cleveland Heights, Mentor and Madison, had 69points, 25rebounds, 10assists and steals. Shot 58percent from the field. Off the court: Plans on playing basketball in college. Favorite sports memory is playing in a regional final in Canton. Enjoys baking. Favorite subject is biology. Favorite food is Mexican. Favorite show is “Grey’s Anatomy.” Enjoys listening to country music.
