- Staff Report

Hospice of the Western Reserve announced it is hosting a warehouse sale in February to raise funds to support seriously ill patients and their families, veterans in need of specialized care, grief and trauma counseling in schools and other community-based programs.

The event will take place 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Feb. 20, and noon to 4 p.m., Feb. 21, at Hospice’s headquarters, 17876 St. Clair Ave. in Cleveland.

In addition to furniture, framed artwork and lamps, the selection often includes sets of fine china, glassware, antiques, jewelry, collectibles and oneof-a-kind treasures, according to a news release. For this sale only, all artwork and mirrors will be 50 percent off.

Cash and major credit cards are accepted for payment but not checks. There is ample parking available in Hospice’s parking lot, the release stated.

Donations of furniture and household goods are still actively being sought.

Furniture items will be previewed by volunteers or by submitted photos prior to acceptance for donation, and tax receipts will be provided. Arrangements can be made to pick up large furniture free of charge from some locations in northern Ohio.

Donations to help defray the cost of movers will be accepted. Those interested in contributing items for the sale should contact the Warehouse Sale Team at 216-255-9090.

The agency does not accept bedding, books, clothing, car seats, electronics, major appliances, medical supplies, sporting goods, children’s toys and games, computers, mattresses, televisions and stuffed animals, the release stated.

Hospice warehouse sales are held four times throughout the year. To receive notice of upcoming sales, email warehousesale@hospicewr.org or visit hospicewr.org/warehouse for a schedule.
